This image is inspired by a song written by Victor Jara a Chilean teacher and political activist who wrote and sang a song ” Las Casas de Carton”  The painting is a romanticization  of the life of one when they are economically impoverished and oppressed  but spiritually and emotionally strong willing  and able to face the world in an effort to overcome any obstacle. The painting is done in the spirit of a child with the paintbrush of the rainbow ready to overcome any storm.
